Dead Orchard is...
A sibling experiment in sound.
It started a long time ago. Ben and Daphne were growing up in southwest Michigan when an idea was hatched: Let’s play music together. Mostly, this was driven by Daphne—the hovering older sister with a vision—but Ben embraced the dream.
Their musical tastes evolved side-by-side as they raided each other’s CD collections, dissected drum fills, and air-guitared their way through adolescence. Thankfully, they both loved to rock. From Rush to Tool, Metallica to the rising “Seattle Sound,” they found their rhythm and their rebellion in the same chords.
Life, of course, had other plans. Thirty years passed—careers, moves, moments. But the music never left. It just grew underground, like roots in waiting.
Dead Orchard is the sound of those roots breaking through. It’s the raw, unfiltered result of decades of life, loss, and loud amps. Melodic, heavy, and honest, their music explores the darker fruit of human experience—alienation, agency, and awakening.
They’ve waited long enough. Now they’re here to make noise.
